What exactly is Repocket?
How can you start earning with Repocket?
There are 2 simple steps involved to start earning with Repocket – signing up for the service and then downloading the application for your device. To register an account, you will have to use your existing e-mail address, since it is not possible to sign up using any of your social media accounts as of writing this review.
Once you have completed the sign up process and successfully logged in, you will then be granted access to the main dashboard, from where you will be able to download the application. At the current moment, Repocket is available for the following operating systems:
- Mac Intel
- Mac Apple Silicon
- Linux ARM
How do you earn with Repocket?
The main way of earning with Repocket is by selling your unused internet connection. This means that by using the application, a portion of your internet and IP address will become available to users worldwide, enabling them to bypass certain geo-restrictions and limitations that they may have while browsing the internet. And in return, Repocket compensates you for your contribution of online traffic.
Once you have downloaded and installed the app on your device, simply log in again to start monetizing your internet connection. For example, on a Windows device you can find the application running in the notification area of your taskbar. From there, make sure that the “Sharing Internet” option is activated in order for the app to share your unused online traffic. Repocket will then start working in the background and there is no further input required from you.
Another way to seemingly earn a bit of extra cash on the platform by completing tasks. However, this option appears to be very much a “Work-In-Progress” feature, as it is in the Beta phase and there is only one offerwall selection available, which is as of writing this review Lootably. So, at least for now it seems that it is not really realistic to earn on Repocket by completing various offers.
And finally, Repocket also features a referral program, where you can earn additonal income by inviting your friends to join the website. Your each referral will earn you a $5 bonus and you will also get 10% lifetime commision of the earnings that they make on the platform. However, it is important to note here that your friends will need to earn at least $20 and complete a withdrawal for you to receive a $5 referral bonus.
How much money can you make?
The amount of money that you can potentially make with Repocket is based on two factors: the number of devices connected to the app and the amount of unused data that you share through the platform. Repocket pays $0.20 for each GB of data you provide when using the application. In addition to that, you can use the same account on multiple devices and connections, however there is a limit of 2 devices per 1 IP address.
Compared to similar bandwidth sharing platforms, the compensation offered is rather low. Out of all such websites that I covered in the past, it’s only slightly better than Traffmonetizer, and pays less than all other data sharing applications that I am aware of. While you can boost how much you earn by participating in the referral program and using multiple devices, overall I do have to say that unfortunately Repocket does not offer the best earning potential possible.
How do you cash out?
As of writing this review, the only available payout method for cashing out your earnings is PayPal and there is a minimum $20 payment threshold that you must reach to request a withdrawal. So, in order to use Repocket you must own a PayPal account that accepts payments, but the company does state that they will be integrating more withdrawal methods in the coming months.
Is Repocket safe to use?
The company states that they do not share your personal information outside of what is needed to operate the platform, like your IP address, carrier/ISP, and city. But, one can never be sure if this is really the case. While the website does offer an opportunity to monetize your unused internet connection, it is very important to be mindful of the potential risks involved. When using platforms like Repocket, you’ll be making a portion of your internet connection and IP address available for others to use, and you will have limited control over the activities performed through your connection. This could result in your IP being flagged as a VPN, leading to blocks from certain websites. Before using Repocket or any other data sharing app, it’s crucial to be aware of the potential consequences and risks.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Repocket available on mobile devices?
Can anyone join Repocket?
Can you use a VPN while running the application?
No, the company says that the app simply won’t work if you use a VPN.
So, is Repocket legit or a scam?
Repocket is a legitimate application that allows you to monetize your unused internet connection. It has a user-friendly design and it appears to have an active Discord community around it, where you can discuss everything related to the platform. However, it does not offer the best pay possible compared to its competitors and there is a high minimum payment threshold that you must reach in order to withdraw your earnings. Personally, I would recommend to invest your time into other data sharing websites such as Honeygain or Peer2Profit, and only try Repocket if other options do not work for you at all.
