When it comes to earning money online, there are various options available these days. Some opportunities even offer passive income, and one of them is called PacketShare, which is a bandwidth-sharing application that claims you can earn money by simply sharing a part of your unused internet connection. But, is it the real deal, or simply too good to be true?

In this review, I’ll dig deep into PacketShare to check out how it works, how much you can make, and if it’s trustworthy. By the end, you’ll know if PacketShare is worth your time or if it’s just another online scam. Let’s dive in!

What exactly is PacketShare?

PacketShare is an application that allows users to earn passive income by selling a part of their internet connection.

How can you start earning with PacketShare?

To start earning with PacketShare, the first step is to sign up for an account. If you already have an existing Google account, then you will be able to register on the website itself. If you wish to sign up using your email address instead, then you will have to download the application first to be able to do so.

Once the application has been downloaded and successfully installed, you will then be given the option to register with your email address. As soon as registration has been completed, you can then sign in, where you will also have to undergo a quick verification process through a browser. After that, you will gain access to the main dashboard of the app.

How do you earn with PacketShare?

The main way of earning with PacketShare is by selling a part of your unused internet connection. The way this works is that once the application is running in the background, it will automatically start sharing your internet data, and the company behind the app gives you a monetary reward for it. Naturally, you have to stay connected to the internet at all times for this process to work.

As mentioned, this all happens automatically, meaning that you don’t need to do anything else once the app is running. However, one thing I should mention here is that there is no way to pause the application apart from logging out. This means that as long as you are logged in and the app is running, it will share a part of your internet connection.

How the PacketShare application looks like

You can find the application running in the notification area of your dashboard (Windows device). One annoying thing is that when hovering over the PacketShare icon, it does not display information such as how much traffic has been sold, so you do have to manually check that via the PacketShare website or the application itself.

In addition to sharing your data, you can also earn additional income by inviting your friends to join PacketShare. All you have to do is share your referral code or invitation link with your friends, and once they become your referral, you will earn 10% of their earnings. It’s not the best referral program that I’ve seen, but it can be a viable way to earn a bit of extra money if you know someone who would be interested in using PacketShare.

How much money can you earn?

When it comes to the earning potential of PacketShare, then the company pays you $0.20 for each GB of data that you share through the application. It seems like all countries get paid the same rate, however, certain locations such as Europe or USA may have a better earning potential due to increased demand for traffic from those regions.

All in all, the pay rate is rather poor, as platforms such as Honeygain, Peer2Profit, or PacketStream simply offer better rates for your data. So, I would say that PacketShare is really worth only trying out if other options don’t work for you for some reason.

Also, in their FAQ they state the following under the “How much can I earn” question: Based on how many devices you have, we generally make about US$2,000 a month for a computer user. I would say this is highly unlikely, as you would need tens if not hundreds of devices with unique IP addresses. Most people can expect to make about $20 a month using this application depending on their location.

How do you cash out?

As you share traffic through PacketShare, you earn points, which you can later redeem for real money. The minimum amount to withdraw is $20, and at the time of writing this review, the only option available to cash out your earnings is PayPal. This is definitely a very high minimum amount required to be able to withdraw, so if you want to withdraw more quickly, I highly recommend signing up for other bandwidth-sharing apps instead, such as Honeygain or EarnApp.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can PacketShare be used on mobile devices?

Yes, PacketShare has a separate application developed for Android mobile devices. At the time of writing this review, iOS version was unfortunately not available.

Is PacketShare available globally?

PacketShare appears to be available globally, which means that anyone should be able to join the platform as long as they have an Android or a Windows device.

Is PacketShare safe to use?

PacketShare does not explicitly state whether they somehow safeguard your data or not. As is the case with all bandwidth-sharing applications, there are inherent risks associated with sharing your internet data. Some internet service providers may view this activity as suspicious and categorize you as a VPN user, which could lead to consequences such as being blacklisted from certain websites. Therefore, it’s essential to thoroughly understand and be completely comfortable with the associated risks before using such applications and selling unused internet data.

Final Thoughts

So, is PacketShare legit or a scam?

PacketShare is a legitimate bandwidth-sharing app that allows you to earn passive income by sharing your internet data. It’s very easy to set up and requires no effort to use, but when compared to similar applications, it doesn’t really offer anything unique or do anything better than its competitors. I would personally recommend investing your time into other such apps, and only giving PacketShare a shot if other options don’t work for you for some reason.

Summary

PacketShare is a legitimate bandwidth-sharing app that allows you to earn passive income, but it offers a very low earning potential and the minimum withdrawal requirement is quite high.
