What exactly is EarnApp?

EarnApp is a platform that allows you to generate passive income by utilizing your spare internet bandwidth, meaning that you are compensated for your contribution of unused data.

How can you start earning with EarnApp?

To begin earning with EarnApp, you will first need to register an account. You can do so by using your existing Google or Apple account. Please note that as of writing this review, these are the only 2 options available and it is not possible to sign up using your e-mail address or any other social media accounts.

After signing up and successfully logging in, you will then be granted access to the main dashboard area of EarnApp. From here, you will have to download their software in order to begin earning passive income by sharing your unused internet connection. You can download the application for the following operating systems:

  • Windows
  • Linux
  • MacOS
  • Android
  • Raspberry Pi
  • iOS
  • Android

How do you earn with EarnApp?

The primary way of earning with EarnApp is by sharing your unutilized internet data. By using the application, you are making a portion of your internet connection and IP address available for users from around the world to browse the internet.

Now that the application has been downloaded and installed on your device, you can begin earning with EarnApp. To make sure that your device and EarnApp account are connected, choose the “Link device to your account” option in the application. You can find the app running in the notification area of your taskbar (Windows desktop device). Once done, simply press “Start earning” in order to begin sharing unused data.

EarnApp also features a referral program, where you can earn additional income by inviting your friends to join the platform. You will receive 10% of the earnings that they make using the application.

How much money can you make?

According to the company, you get paid $0.36 per each Gigabyte of data shared if you live in the US, and $0.24 if you are located elsewhere. In terms of the potential for generating income, this platform offers lower pay when compared to other bandwidth sharing platforms, especially if you are not living in the United States. For example, on Peer2Profit you get paid $0.80 per each Gigabyte of data (residential network) sold, and there are many countries outside of the US that get compensated well on that platform. Overall, I have to say that EarnApp does not have the best earning potential when stacked up against its competitors.

How do you cash out?

As of writing this review, there are 3 options available to you for withdrawing any earnings made on the platform:

  • PayPal ($2 fee, minimum payment threshold is $2.50)
  • Wise ($0.39 flat fee per transaction charged by Wise, same threshold as PayPal)
  • Amazon Gift Cards (no fees, but minimum amount required to redeem is $50)

One useful feature that EarnApp has is its “Auto-redeem” option. This means that as soon as you hit the minimum threshold for your preferred payout method, the company will automatically process the payment.

Is EarnApp safe to use?

One valid concern that applies to all bandwidth sharing platforms is if they are safe to use. According to EarnApp your internet connection is used for activities such as supporting academic research, helping brands track websites selling fake products, collecting public data like product prices and reviews and also aggregating travel information such as flights and hotel prices. In addition to that, the company states that their code is audited every 3 months by external auditors and tested daily on multiple anti-virus platforms to ensure there are no false-positive detections. Still, it’s important to note here that sharing your bandwidth comes with certain risks, as you lack control or insight into the activities performed through your internet connection. This could result in your IP address being identified as a VPN and subsequently being blocked by certain websites, so be aware of the potential risks associated with using data sharing platforms.

Closing Comments

So, is EarnApp a legitimate way to earn passive income or a scam to avoid?

EarnApp is a legitimate platform that pays you for sharing your unused internet connection. It has a simple user interface and it is completely passive income apart from the initial set up process. However, it does not have the best earning potential when compared to similar bandwidth sharing applications and it’s important to be aware of the potential risks that come with selling your internet data. Overall, I would suggest to give EarnApp a try only if no other option works for you.
