Video-watching platforms such as YouTube and TikTok have become a part of people’s everyday lives, with most of us spending at least some time there every day. And now, there are also various applications that claim to reward you for watching videos, and one such application is called ClipClaps. But, is it truly a legitimate way to make money so easily, or is it just a scam?
In this review, I will explore ClipClaps in detail, examining its features, potential earnings, user experiences, and overall credibility, to provide you with an informed perspective on whether ClipClaps is a genuine opportunity for earning money or if it should be avoided instead. Let’s begin!

ClipClaps is a mobile application that pays you for watching videos and completing other tasks.
How can you start earning with ClipClaps?
To begin earning with ClipClaps, the first step is to download the application for your mobile device. It is not possible to use ClipClaps on desktop devices, so you will need to own a smartphone in order to be able to earn with it. The application is available on both Android and iOS mobile devices.
Once the application has been downloaded and installed on your device, the next step is to sign up for an account. To do this, you will need to have an existing Google account, as there simply aren’t any other options available. Once you have completed the registration process, you can then begin earning with ClipClaps.
How do you earn with ClipClaps?
ClipClaps features a variety of ways for you to earn money with, and I will be covering all of them in detail in this section of the review. As you complete activities on the platform, you get paid in the form of “Clapcoins”, which can later be converted into cash and then withdrawn with PayPal or gift cards.

Playtime feature
Another feature commonly found in many GPT (“Get-Paid-To”) applications is the playtime feature. Basically, this means that you will be presented with a selection of games to choose from, and you can earn coins depending on the amount of time you spend playing those games.
However, keep in mind that certain games may have specific requirements that you must fulfill, such as reaching a certain level or completing other activities. This feature can be found at the bottom of the “Rewards” section.
Complete offers
You can also earn Clapcoins by completing offers, which can be accessed by clicking on the “Free Coins” button. Offers can include a wide range of activities, such as playing games, downloading and testing other apps, and more. However, in my case, the offers available were primarily games.
One thing worth noting is that these offers are provided directly by ClipClaps, meaning there are no “Offerwall” partners through which you can choose offers (for example, other GPT websites may have partners like Adgate or Lootably, through whom you can complete various offers).
Play games
Separate from the playtime feature and regular offers, you can also play games through the “Game Center.” The more games you play, the more coins you can earn. Additionally, there are separate missions available within the Game Center that you can complete, such as watching advertisements in a specific game or playing for a certain amount of time. There is a wide variety of games to choose from, and you can view the full selection by simply scrolling down.
Upload videos
Another way to earn on ClipClaps is by uploading your own videos and becoming a “House Owner”. However, before you can earn from them, you need to submit your videos for review by ClipClaps.
If your video is selected, you will then receive a notification if your submitted video is chosen for featuring. Once your video is featured, you can earn coins based on the number of views it receives.
So, if you are a content creator and have videos that you can upload, then this could potentially provide a passive way of earning on the platform.
Invite friends
ClipClaps features a referral program that allows you to invite your friends to join the application. Once you have shared your code with your friends and they sign up, you will receive a treasure chest. This program also includes a leveling system, which means that the higher your level, the more chests you can receive for inviting people. I will explain the exact nature of these chests in just a moment.
Open treasure chests
As mentioned earlier, you can earn treasure chests by watching videos and inviting your friends to join the application. There are three tiers of chests available: regular, gold, and diamond. Regular chests offer the lowest amount of rewards, while diamond chests provide the highest rewards.
Furthermore, while regular chests only grant you Clapcoins, gold and diamond chests also reward you with raffle tickets. These tickets enable you to participate in raffles for a chance to earn additional bonuses. I will explain the details of these raffles in further detail below.
Participate in raffles
As you open diamond and gold chests, you have the chance to receive raffle tickets. These tickets can be used to participate in various raffles. Before doing so, you need to collect a specific number of tickets for each individual raffle. There are five categories of raffles available:
- $10 Amazon Coupon
- $10 Cash
- $10 Reward (also in cash)
- 500k ClapCoins
- $1 Reward
But, based on my personal experience, I have never won any significant prizes from these raffles, despite participating in multiple ones, and they seem kind of rigged to me. Nonetheless, they do still provide some rewards.
Spin the wheel
And as a final option, you also have the ability to spin the wheel for a chance to earn extra cash and ClipCoins. There are two separate spins available – Mega Spin and Lucky Spins. You can perform one Mega Spin per week (more if you invite people) and one Lucky Spin every 5 hours.
The Mega Spin offers a direct cash reward, while Lucky Spins can grant you either regular chests or Clapcoins. But, similar to raffles, my personal experience has been that I have consistently received only the lowest rewards from these spins. So, it is unlikely that this feature will yield any significant rewards.
How much money can you earn?
As you can see, ClipClaps seemingly offers numerous opportunities for earning money. However, the fact that there are many opportunities does not guarantee a a good earning potential within the app. And that’s the reality with ClipClaps – this app simply won’t generate significant earnings for you. Most of the earning opportunities in this app result in low Clapcoin payouts.
To accumulate a substantial amount, you’ll need to invest a considerable amount of time in activities like watching videos, playing games, or completing offers.
While chests and spins can provide bonuses, in my experience, the rewards from them have consistently been very poor. I believe that the only way to earn a decent income from this app is by uploading videos, which requires creating content and is a significant time commitment.
In summary, the earning potential of this app is really poor, and there are undoubtedly better mobile applications available out there that simply pay you more.
How do you cash out?
Another thing I have observed is that in recent times, some individuals have experienced not receiving payouts at all. As mentioned earlier, the application pays you in Clapcoins, with 100,000 Clapcoins being equal to $1, and you can then exchange those Clapcoins for rewards such as PayPal or gift cards.
People have reported that they received the initial payout of $0.10 via PayPal, which can be requested at the beginning. However, once they reach the $12/$15 minimum payment withdrawal and attempt to cash out their earnings, they never receive their money. So, not only is the earning potential of the app poor, but it also appears that ClipClaps has started to scam people. Because of this, I simply cannot recommend this application to anyone.

From what I can tell, it seems that the application is unfortunately most likely a scam now. While the app might have been legit in the past, a lot of people have reported not receiving payouts once they reach the minimum withdrawal threshold, and their support is extremely unresponsive. So, this app is definitely not worth your time, and I don’t recommend using ClipClaps at all.
