ByteLixir Review: Easy Way To Earn Passive Income or a Scam? (2024 Deep Dive)

In the past, I have covered applications such as Honeygain, EarnApp, and Pawns.app, which allow you to earn money by essentially selling a part of your unused internet connection. A new player has recently entered this space, known as ByteLixir. But a valid question remains: is it a legitimate way to earn a bit of cash, or should you be avoiding it entirely instead?

In this review, I will be taking a deep dive into ByteLixir, examining its features, usability, and overall legitimacy. I’ll compare it to other similar applications to find out whether it’s worth investing your time into ByteLixir or not. Let’s begin!

I should note here that other registration methods, such as social media accounts, were not available at the time of writing this review. So, you will need to have an existing email address in order to sign up for the platform.

After successfully registering an account and logging in, the next step is to download the app for either your desktop device (Windows) or an Android smartphone. You can do so by clicking on the “Downloads” button located in the left section of the website.

Once the application has been downloaded and installed, all that there is left to do is to simply log in using the email address that you used to register an account.

How do you earn with ByteLixir?​

The primary way of earning money with ByteLixir is by simply letting in the run in the background while it automatically starts sharing a part of your internet connection. This means that people and businesses worldwide, who need internet connection from your area, can use it to test things such as running advertisements in your region, etc.

One thing to keep in mind is that, naturally, ByteLixir requires a constant internet connection for it to work properly and for you to earn money from it. After logging into the app and making sure the “Share Internet” button is toggled on, you can close the application by pressing the “X” button.

After that, ByteLixir can be found running in the notification area (bottom right corner for a Windows desktop device). If you want to close the application entirely, then you have to press right-click in the notification area on the ByteLixir icon and select the “Quit ByteLixir” option.

Another way to earn on ByteLixir is by inviting your friends to join the platform. You’ll be given your own referral link, and all you have to do is simply share it with your friends. After they become your referrals, you will earn $0.42 per each GB of data that they sell when using a cellular (mobile carrier) internet connection, or $0.34 if they share bandwidth from a residential connection (home internet and wifi).

How much money can you earn?​

You can typically expect to make anywhere from $2 to $10 from ByteLixir on average. This number can be affected by a number of things, such as traffic demand in your particular area, how much time you keep the app running, and what type of bandwidth you are using on the connected device.

When compared to similar bandwidth-sharing applications, ByteLixir offered the best pay for each GB of data sold, at least at the time of this review. The application pays $0.85 per GB of data sold for a cellular connection, and $0.68 for a residential connection. If you happen to have friends who would be interested in using ByteLixir, then you can potentially earn even more money through the referral program.

So, I can confidently say that the pay rate is quite decent, since platforms such as Honeygain or PacketStream don’t offer such high rates for your data. If you have only just begun looking into such bandwidth-sharing applications, then ByteLixir is a good first choice to get started with.

How do you cash out?​

For cashing out your earnings, ByteLixir offers a variety of cryptocurrencies, such as USDT, TRX, DASH, BNB, MATIC, TON, LTC, BTC, and ETH. At the current moment, you cannot request a payment through cash services such as PayPal.

Most of cryptocurrencies have a minimum withdrawal amount of $2. Exceptions are BNB (minimum $4) and TON (minimum $8). I personally don’t recommend cashing out via BTC and ETH at all, since they both usually come with high transactions fees, are volatile in their price, and the minimum withdrawal amounts are very high ($250 and $40 respectively).

Payments can take anywhere from a few minutes to three days to complete. If you have not received a payment in more than 3 days, then you should contact their support separately to find out what might be causing the issue.

However, as is the case with all such bandwidth-sharing apps, ByteLixir does come with certain risks. Sharing traffic through such an app can be viewed as suspicious by certain internet providers, which could potentially lead to some trouble, as you could be viewed as a VPN user, for example. So, before giving ByteLixir a try, make sure that you are completely comfortable with any such risks going in.

It offers an easy way to earn passive income and also has the best pay rate out of all similar competitors. However, such applications do come with certain risks, and the earning potential remains relatively low.

If you are just starting out with bandwidth-sharing apps, then ByteLixir is not a bad choice. But, you need to have realistic expectations and not expect to make a lot of money using this app.
