To start earning money on HelloPingPong, you’ll first need to sign up as a tester. At the time of writing this review, you can use your existing Google or Microsoft account for a quicker account creation process, but you can also register using your email address if you prefer. Make sure to select “Sign up as a tester“.

Next, complete your profile details  The more accurate your information, the more likely you’ll be selected for paid research studies. Please note that one of the requirements to sign up is having a computer/laptop/Mac with a webcam and microphone that can handle video calls + a stable internet connection and Chrome browser. 

How do you earn on HelloPingPong?​

The primary way of earning on HelloPingPong is by participating in various research studies and interviews. Once you have finished setting up your profile, you’ll receive an email invitation when a new study becomes available.

Unfortunately, there is no way to predict when exactly that might happen. It might take weeks or even months to receive your first invitation. 

Once you do, it should look like the example below in your email inbox. Make sure that the “I’d like to receive session invitations (via email)” option is enabled in the notification settings, as otherwise, you will not receive any invitations from HelloPingPong.

To slightly increase your chances of being invited to more studies, you can validate your profile with LinkedIn or Facebook by hovering over your profile picture in the top right corner of the website and then selecting “Validate your profile”. You will then be able to link your social media accounts to your PingPong profile.

Additionally, you can invite your friends to join PingPong and earn a small referral bonus of €5. Once your friend signs up and completes their first study or interview, you’ll receive the €5 bonus. There’s no limit as to how many people you can invite, so this can be a decent way to make a small amount of additional cash on the platform if you know someone who would be interested in participating in interviews and studies. 

How much money can you earn?​

When it comes to potential earnings, then you can earn between €10 to €100 per hour for participating in video interviews and user tests. This will vary from study to study and not all of them pay the same amount (you can see from the email example that the compensation offered for my study was €30 per hour). Keep in mind that studies are not always available, so this should not be relied upon as a consistent source of income.

How do you cash out?​

Once you have successfully completed a study, HelloPingPong will automatically send you a payment via PayPal or Wise within a couple of working days (usually 2-3 but could take up to a week). You can edit your payment details by hovering over your profile picture and then choosing the “Edit profile” option.
