What exactly is Clickworker?
Clickworker is a micro-tasking platform that connects businesses and individuals with a global network of online freelancers (“Clickworkers”) who perform a wide range of tasks such as data labeling, data entry, research, content creation, and more.
How can you start earning on Clickworker?
In order for you to be able to earn on Clickworker, you will first have to sign up for an account. You can do so by using your existing e-mail address. Please note that as of writing this review, it is not possible to sign up using any of your social media accounts.
How do you earn on Clickworker?
The primary way of earning on Clickworker is by participating in various tasks and projects. But, before we continue, it’s important to first fill out your profile. Having a detailed description about yourself can help increase your overall chances of having access to more projects. You can do so by clicking on your profile picture in the top right corner and then selecting “Profile”.
Here are some of the details that you should fill out:
- General description – a short summary about yourself.
- Education – specify which degree or what other education do you have.
- Workplace – list your profession if you have one.
- Languages – you can fill out all the languages that you can speak, separated into “Reading & Writing (Foreign Language)” and “Mothertongue (Native Language)”.
- Skills – here you can talk about which specific skills you have.
- Hobbies & Know-how – and finally, you can include all your hobbies and if you have any additional know-hows that could be useful.
Once your profile has been successfully filled out, you can then begin applying to jobs and projects. To do this, simply head over to the “Jobs” page (you can find it in the left section of the dashboard). From there, you can browse all the projects that are available to you. You can find tasks such as testing applications, participating in surveys, capturing photos and more.
Once you find something that seems like a good fit you can then click on that specific job to receive a set of instructions to follow. In most cases you will also have to through training before you can actually receive money for completing projects.
Through Clickworker, you can also earn extra income by participating in the UHRS program. Universal Human Relevance System is a platform run by a separate company and it offers a range of micro-tasks, including scoring search engine accuracy, voice recording comparison, and validating sections of documents. These tasks are designed to be small and quick to complete, and come in large numbers.
To use UHRS, you must first pass the UHRS assessment, which is available under the “Assessments” section. The assessment includes an English language test and a separate setup process for a unique LiveID.
In addition to that, you can potentially earn even more money by inviting your friends to join the platform. If you know someone who might be interested in using Clickworker, you can refer them to the website using your own referral link. As soon as your friend earns and gets paid out €10, you will then receive a €5 referral bonus.
How much money can you make?
The amount of money that you can potentially make is dependent on the specific project that you are participating in. Payments can range from a few cents to two-digit figures. The fee calculation is based on several important factors, including the estimated average processing time, the level of difficulty involved, the length of the text, the amount of research required, and the special knowledge and skills necessary to complete the job successfully.
It is important to note here that individual performance can have an impact when it comes to earnings. Generally, the faster a job is completed, the higher the targeted “hourly wage” will be. However, some more complex tasks may take longer to get started with and to complete, but they tend to result in a higher fee overall.
So to summarize, your earnings are essentially determined by two key factors: the amount of time you want to dedicate to working on jobs, and the availability of suitable projects. Since both of these factors can be subject to fluctuations, your earnings may vary greatly from month to month and could be both above or below your expectations. However, do keep in mind that working as a Clickworker should not be viewed as a full-time employment but rather as an opportunity to earn extra income on a flexible basis.
How do you cash out?
For withdrawing your earnings, there are 3 options available to you:
- Payoneer (you can cash out as soon as you hit the €5 minimum payment threshold)
- PayPal (€10 minimum)
- SEPA bank transfer (same as PayPal)

Closing comments
So, is Clickworker a legit website or a scam that you should be avoiding?
Clickworker is a legitimate tasking platform that pays you for completing a wide variety of projects. Depending on how many tasks are available to you at any given time, you can potentially make some decent cash here and there. But, since you don’t really have control over which projects you have access to, it should not be relied upon as a consistent source of income. With that in mind, I do recommend using Clickworker.
